Autumn Elegance

Artist Kelly J
Paint by Numbers with some creative flair added

This beautiful piece captured my interest because I love the colors and the simplicity of this piece. It is actually a paint by numbers but once I was done, I made it my own, and added to it and filled in and blended everything together. Immediately after I posted it, the original sold. I use all my profits to help others in need. This profit went to a man I got to know in South Dakota on the Pine Ridge Reservation who helps the elders there. So the monies I made on this piece helped some people have wood for heat, water and supplies needed during there cold winter season.

Thank you goes to Norm C. for purchasing this piece and Tony T. for helping others in their time of need.

Once you believe the signs are everywhere

Art by Kelly J

God knows what works for you and it's the results that matter. If something makes you think it's a sign from Him, He's happy that you're thinking of Him.”

A young boy and his dog

Art by Kelly J - December 2020

We share the Earth with millions of different creatures. Before the fall of man-kind God said to all the animals of the earth and all the birds in the sky and all the creatures that move along the ground, everything that has the breath of life in it, He gives every green plant for food.” Even the stork in the sky knows her appointed seasons, and the dove, the swift and the thrush observe the time of their migration. But His people do not know the requirements of their Father who is in Heaven. Consider the ravens, they do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest acts of the wicked are cruel. Go to the ant, and consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. Ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you, or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Almighty has done this?  In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.

Horses and Sheep in scripture

Art by Kelly J - December 2020

Horses were such a symbol of army strength in Bible times that God charged the Israelite kings not to keep many horses. The Lord did not want the Israelites to trust in their resources of strength, but He wanted them to rely on Himself for deliverance and victory from their enemies.

The prominence of sheep in the Bible symbolically refer to God's people. The very first shepherd was Abel. What Jesus said about sheep? When he comes home, he calls together his friends, his family and his neighbors, saying to them, 'Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!' I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance."

Finding the Key that opens our Heart

 Art by Kelly J

I was born to share the truth that I find when living the life that was created just for me. A love that connects our heart in pure friendship and authentic truth. Our heart is the key to opening yourself to a world that is a paradise that is around you all of the time. The Great Mystery has written His perfect love and plan upon your heart. One day, as I was listening, I was given these words and this song.
 "While we are away,
from our people we will pray,
in our spirit, we will find,
balance in our heart and mind"

Wisdom of our Elders

Artist Kelly J

I created this watercolor as I was thinking about our Elders and all they have been through. The wisdom they have gained through experiences. And the way they help us to live and get through this life. I wish my grandparents were still here today. It's sad that when were young we love them, but don't understand yet the wisdom they have and the question we can ask while they are still here. I would ask more questions about our family tree, and write more on photographs so the ones who they are passed down to would know all the details within the photo.

Fancy Dancer

Artist Kelly J

This art shows a Fancy shawl dancer resembling a butterfly.
The shawl gives the dance its name and is a fringed, colorful, beaded traditional women’s blanket that extends over the length of the dancer’s wingspan.

I love my heritage and am proud to have first nations blood. I love how we are connected to life, each other, nature and animals. I love how strong our bond is with family and how deeply we love. I connect to our beliefs that go way back to the beginning of time. A beautiful Granddaughter and her Twins

Artist Kelly J

This piece was a commissioned piece for Rodney, it is his granddaughter and her twins. I loved creating this piece, it challenged me as a self taught artist. The sky is amazing and the color pallet I was very happy with. I pray this momma and her children will always have a beautiful and happy life.

Love and Kindness

Artist Kelly J

It has been said that it would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around the neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble. Children and animals are so innocent when they are birthed into this world. It is up to us as adults to lead them and guide them down the right path. We are to love them and show them kindness above all.

the Simple Life

Artist Kelly J

I created this piece when I saw a lady feeding her chickens, and I thought how beautiful of a life. I have always wanted animals around me. I would love to have hundreds of acres where they could roam free from harm. I would love to see them being born and watch them grow and have their own, and keep their families and live in peace upon the land. That is a dream I have always had.

The Land is Keeping us

Artist Kelly J

The Land is keeping us, you can take away the insects and nothing will live. You can take away the 4 leggeds and nothing will live, you can take away the winged ones and nothing will live. You can take away the water or all that is green and nothing will live. But, if we take away mankind everything will flourish and live. We are not as we see ourselves, we are but a vapor upon this earth.

Purity and Innocence

Artist Kelly J

I love this piece, this was originally a photograph and I have seen it a few times, even painted. It speaks to my own heart. Children love animals, I am not sure what happens to many of us as we age, but we change and do not have the purity or innocence around us anymore. This speaks both purity and innocence which is my prayer for all man-kind, and the earth and it's people.

Rainy Scene

Art by Kelly J
Rainy Scene -  I love this scene, because it seems so peaceful.

Artist Kelly J

I created this in a class I took where I live, I was able to learn a little more about brushes and strokes. I was amazed when creating the flower petals how easy they were with just one stroke with the correct brush, and the leaves as well. I have always been self taught and inspired to paint by God. So this class taught me some things.

Where you are called to be

Artist Kelly J

So many times in life, I have spoken with people who think they need to find a career or job that they will keep for all their working years.  As you learn and grow in life, you may have interests that change as you grow. So, don't be hard on yourself, if you do not know what career to choose. It may be that you are like me, and called to move and grow and not to be pinned down to just one way to earn a living. Doors will open, and doors will close. Take it with a grain of salt and move and flow with wisdom and faith growing into your next step here upon this earth. The key is to stay happy and know that all things work out when you stay close enough to kiss God's cheek. Rest and abide in His will be done in and through your life, and everything will be fine, taking it one day at a time.

Thankful for each day given

Artist Kelly J

Every day, we should be thankful, thankful for not only our life, but our breath, and the beauty that surrounds us.  If you are not thankful, do all that you can to get back to the basics of life and living closer to nature.

A simpler life is a more thankful life because you see the gifts of life in the things like the leaves changing color upon the Tree's, birds that come and go with the seasons and even the ones that stay and make a home where you live. You more aware of the details in life and see the vibrant colors in a wildflower, or the life of a Bumble Bee as you watch it dance and play.

These are the kind of things I am thankful for, but most of all I am thankful for God who came into my life when I was 10 and helped me to know that He was real and I could have a relationship with him. From that moment in time, my life changed and I was forever thankful for life and all the amazing colors and beauty that I see surrounding me each and every day.

I always pray that God would keep me safe, when I am driving. That he would keep all the animals and people I come in contact with safe as well.  I have been blessed to never have had an accident or run over anything in 41 years of driving and prayer.

Be Kind

Artist Kelly J

Kindness is a virtue. I love meeting people who are Kind. It makes life so much easier and puts a smile on faces. If we are called to walk in the light, we should strive to be Kind.

Seeking Truth

Art by Kelly J

Always seek the truth, live your life for what you were called to be and become, be thankful for what you have been given, live your life fully and freely, always be a light in this world, keep your children close and teach them goodness, be kind towards others, search and seek and you will always find your answers that our Creator placed into your very own heart for such a time as this.

Our Spirit is the Heart of the earth, I was thinking today about the term "what would Jesus do" and I was thinking about many scenarios that we face today. For example, if He were here today, would he have the animals surround him and love on them? or would he be killing and slaughtering them and eating them?  Would he encourage parents to have their children and teach them about the amazing times they will experience in their child's life? or would he perform the abortion and kill the children? Every choice we make in life, would be awesome if we could ask this simple question, of what would Jesus do? And choose His way.

Heaven in a Wild Flower

Artist Kelly J

“To see the World in a Grain of Sand
and Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
and Eternity in an hour.”

I love to draw and create. Each piece I share tells a story. I was born to love life. I have always been grateful for the beauty that has always been all around me. I am attracted to nature, wildlife, animals, kindness, and freedom. I love the change of seasons.

Our Creator and me

Artist Kelly J

On December 23rd, 2019 while driving home from work, I was singing a song by Chris Tomlin called "How great is our God" Listen here and for some reason it really moved me tonight. Maybe because it was live, and Chris was sharing the story of how the song came about.

I felt the presence of our Father so close to me, as it was playing and as I was basking in His presence. The words "How Great is our God" was being sung and at that exact moment, one of my favorite black Angus calves jumped into the air with such a joy filling its heart. It was a moment in time, I wanted to freeze and stay in for a while.

After that experience, I felt God calling me to share who He is to me. The reason why I have started this blog is to show how real and present He is in my life.

How close are you to God?

Artist Kelly J

I was thinking today while driving to work, how blessed I am to know my Father in heaven up close and personal. Many of us speak of Him in the past tense. We read our bibles and know of Him and the lessons and wisdom we have learned. But, how many go past that, and get to the point in life where you are living every day in His presence?

Today, the vehicle in front of me almost ran over a squirrel, I saw the little squirrel running and I thought it was hit as I slowed down to give it time and it looked up with a nut in its mouth and made it to the side of the road. I was thankful. But, on the next turn, another squirrel did not make it, he was laying on his side, gone. It made me sad.

I see my forever life many times, and in it, I am storing up all the things that I have been blessed to experience in this lifetime. One of the main things I store up is animals. When I see them dead on the roads, I always ask God if He would let them live in my forever life, then He always gives me a vision. This vision was of His hand picking up the squirrel and placing it in a tree that is in my forever life. The visions are always different. But, I am always able to have them there.

A passion I have is to be able to see all the animals that God has created, free to be who they were created to be. I want to see them in their natural state. Free to run and play and be themselves.
